The Baby Boutique, a prenatal incentive program offered through Greene County Medical Center’s public health department, recently participated in a “baby shower” with the Greene County High School Intro to Child Development class – complete with gifts of baby necessities for new parent care packages.

The Baby Boutique and public health’s Healthy Opportunities for Parents to Experience Success (H.O.P.E.S) program has received a total of $1,900 in grants through a “Communities 4 Children Decategorization Project and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children Neighborhood/Community Network” mini grant program. Such grants make it possible for things like the recent “baby shower” to take place. It’s a learning experience for the students and a boost to such public health programs designed to assist expectant parents in crucial parenting skills.
